LocalCoin, an Ontario-based company which specializes in Bitcoin-related services has announced a partnership with Gateway Newstands, to bring a network of Bitcoin ATMs to Toronto’s subway.
“Having our ATMs located in easily accessible and safe environments has always been a priority for us – and it is with these principles in mind that we can officially announce that our ATMs can now be found at Gateway to Go locations in select Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) stations,” said the founders of LocalCoin.
Gateway Newstands is a chain of convenience stores in Canada. It owns more than 500 convenience stores, with the majority of them located on Toronto Subway lines operated by the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC). Thus, it provides an extremely convenient and accessible location for LocalCoin bitcoin ATMs.
In Toronto, there are currently 50 ATMs which are located at major hubs along the subway line such as Yonge and Bloor Station, Queens Park Station, Kennedy Station, Union Station, Scarborough Town Centre, Lansdowne and Finch GO Station. In the near future, there are plans to rapidly increase the number of Gateway Newsstands partnership ATMs across Canada and the United States.
LocalCoin is the first and only Bitcoin ATM network located along Toronto Subway lines, as they seek to ensure that the use of cryptocurrencies becomes a normalized part of the mainstream marketplace. It assures clients that the security and anonymity of transactions are of utmost importance to them. Hence they have made it a priority to constantly update all their systems in line with any security issues.
LocalCoin also provides its clients with the benefit of a toll-free telephone line for all inquiries and request.
